A Safe Day Out in Apenheul

The three guarantees in the Safe Day Out protocol by Club of Eleven and the Dutch Zoo Federation fit within the RIVM guidelines and are the starting point for the measures we have taken in our park.

  1. We are ensuring a 1.5-metre distance between groups.
  2. We are providing sufficient and straightforward information.
  3. We are taking extra hygiene precautions.

1.5 metres between groups
We are maintaining a distance of 1.5 metres between groups on all paths. The walking routes are limited to one-way traffic. To ensure 1.5 metres between groups, we are limiting the number of visitors per day and timeslot. Tickets can currently only be purchased online, and a timeslot must be reserved at the same time. You will need an entrance ticket with date and timeslot to access the park.

Entrance ticket with date and timeslot = admission

To meet the 1.5-metre guideline, we have reorganised certain things for your visit to our park. Please read the most important measures regarding parking.

Clear information
General and area-specific rules are indicated throughout the park. These rules are communicated clearly with signs. When you purchase a ticket, you agree to the RIVM guidelines and Apenheul park rules. If you do not adhere to the guidelines, you will be held accountable. Our trained staff is present for supervision.

Extra hygiene measures
We have also taken extra hygiene measures throughout the park, such as extra hand disinfection stations. You can wash your hands at the toilet facilities. We have also implemented several measures at the hospitality facilities.

Most importantly: if you have a cold, stay home!

We are doing our best to ensure a safe, unique and fun day at our park.
